Job Description


Position: Head Paid Media


Division: Client Services


Qualification: MBA (Marketing) or Any equivalent degree


Location: Hyderabad


Experience:

  • 8+ years working in paid media, majority client-side experience preferred 
  • Significant experience managing integrated campaigns across search (SEO & PPC), CRM, paid social (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest), display, affiliates 
  • Experience using tools and technology to support best-in-class campaign management (e.g. Smartly, Kenshoo, Marin, etc.) 
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Tag Manager and web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Metrilo, Mixpanel, Kissmetrics, etc.) 
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing techniques and tools (Optimizely, etc.) 
  • Experience testing and implementing landing pages 
  • Experience with attribution modelling and working closely with business intelligence 
  • Experience building paid media programs from the ground up and scaling teams 
  • Experience dealing with complex cross-channel attribution models 
  • Experience creating and implementing testing frameworks for growth 
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing automation tools 
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (Tableau, Looker, Periscope, etc.) 
  • Proficiency in SQL is a plus 
  • Experience in the Education sector is a plus
  • Have a deep understanding of target audiences and how messaging, channels and creative execution needs to differ based on who youre speaking to 
  • Excellent sales and negotiation track record

Role Dimension:

Were looking for an expert in paid acquisition in a B2C environment. Paid advertising channels form a key part of our ambitious and well-funded growth plans and were looking for an experienced marketer to lead this activity. We are looking for a leader with the strong experience necessary to head up a data-driven, cross-channel team to drive huge growth. Reporting to the Client Services Director Digital Marketing, this high-profile role will develop and execute paid media strategies to help take our business to the next level.

Youll have at least 8 years experience in working with PPC, SEM, paid social, paid referral and other channels to generate leads. Your experience can have been gained either agency or client side. Deep experience of Google AdWords is essential, as is day-to-day active management of ad budgets in order to maximise efficient lead capture.

The Head of Paid Media will have responsibility for a huge digital ads budget and will be measured by leads and cost of acquisition against our high-growth plan

The ideal candidate brings a combination of managerial, strategic, commercial and creative thinking qualities along with the ability to adopt a hands-on approach to the role. They will lead a team in building strong, progressive growth in territories and maintain senior level relationships to drive positive ROI.

Major Roles & Responsibilities:

Build and execute a paid acquisition program to generate new inbound leads;
Manage the paid acquisition spend to budget;
Implement a measurement system for advertising spend enabling us to identify the best-performing channels and the cost per lead for each channel;
Work with the campaigns teams to ensure alignment between paid acquisition and campaign activity;
Work with the team - brief the requirements for ad copy and graphics as well as jointly review performance in order to continually improve.
Hands-on experience of Google AdWords and of running ad campaigns on the major social media networks;
Experience managing a huge budget, either in-house or for a client;
Experience running multi-channel campaigns for both lead acquisition and brand awareness;
Deep knowledge of the data side of advertising and the ability to use the right data to make decisions based on desired outcomes;
Creative judgement and experience of writing briefs for creative teams to build the content for ad campaigns;
The ability and passion for the subject to combine day-to-day tactical campaign management with strategic longer-term planning;
Experience working on both UK and International campaigns
Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus.
Own the budget for all paid/performance channels, with targets set based on tight CPL/CPA requirements 
Liaise with stakeholders across the marketing and product teams to ensure objectives are aligned 
Provide strong leadership to a lean but powerful team which you will build based on your vision 
Attract, mentor and retain a talented team that leads the industry in innovation and results 
Create and execute a smart cross-channel testing plan for growth 
Work closely with a cross-functional team of marketers, creatives and digital marketing to develop and execute fully integrated marketing experiences 
Develop and execute digital strategies across platforms including paid search, CRM, paid social (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest), Amazon AMS, Criteo for retailers, as well as running display campaigns & programmatic. 
Measure and report on impact and effectiveness of paid channels and continuously improve resource allocation, scalability and ROI 
Collaborate with brand marketing teams to ensure creative assets achieve all paid media objectives based on data-driven goals 
Own research, forecasting, planning, execution and performance analysis for paid media initiatives 
Ensure that brand consistency is maintained in both the messaging and visual language across all paid media 
Remain up-to-date on relevant news, trends and best practices within media and performance marketing 
Be a self-starter with exceptional relationship-building, business development and influencing skills
