Job Description

Awok.com is looking for a full time highly motivated and experienced eCommerce Website Manager/Developer. The role is responsible for all aspects of maintaining the website and content. The successful candidate will work closely with the existing sales team and partners to create new content (e.g. products, promotions, cross-selling, blogging, etc), to build traffic and monitor daily performance of the website. A key aspect of the role is to plan, schedule and implement website changes and updates on a daily basis. The role also requires that you monitor key performance indicators on the website and develop plans to improve them.

Responsibilities:

Analyze our websites and identify opportunities to optimize site structure and content for improved discoverability

Research and evaluate competitive landscape.

Link-building program definition and management that complies with search engine guidelines

Lead and manage content idea generation, production, and plan syndication and publishing

Provide ongoing reports on our natural search rankings in search results pages and other KPIs such as visits, revenue, and conversion rates. Update our weekly SEO dashboards.

Recommend SEO opportunities based on category, keyword research, and internal tools.

Work with cross functional teams to execute and launch daily tasks.

Keep up-to-date with search technology and search industry changes, gaining a deep knowledge of desktop, mobile and social search.

Definition of metadata, structure, markups, and effective copywriting of snippets.

Requirement:

Ideal candidate is someone with 4+ years of in-house e-commerce or agency SEO

Experience working with a large e-commerce site - Enterprise level SEO, deep understanding of site architecture, site structure and hierarchy

Experience in handling high traffic website using organic.

Proven track record of organic success by applying search optimization principles

Knowledge and work experience with SEO tools, such as MajesticSEO, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Conductor, BrightEdge, Moz, etc.

Experience with analytics software such as Omniture and/or Google Analytics required

Excellent analytical skills, marketing savvy, and in-depth knowledge of search engine optimization.

Independent self-starter; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinker

Excellent organizational skills ability to prioritize demands and multi-task to complete daily objectives

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with engineering and the PM org

Experience in eCommerce is a definite advantage
